How would you describe your musical style?  One part vintage, two parts bubbly with a shot of pop soul.
When did you start recording and what inspired you to get into the musical business?  I’ve always loved music.  I started recording a few years ago to package all of my thoughts and ideas.  Writing for me is like keeping a diary, only I can play it back.  As for getting into music business,  I am that person that watches a TV show or commercial then researches who sang the songs that were played.  So when I started writing songs for my EP,  I knew I wanted to write my songs tailored for TV shows/Films.

Who are some of your musical inspirations?
I love musicals and Broadway.  I think you hear some of that in my music.  I also love artists like Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday, and so many others.

What are your goals in the industry?
My goal is to write good music and hopefully get it placed in TV, commercials, and film.  I would probably do a couple of cartwheels the day that happens.  As for creating music, I want to write those songs that help you express what you’re trying to say even when you don’t have the words.  At the end of the day, creating music is what I love to do and I want to be successful doing it.

Where can we hear your music or see you perform?
You can find me and my music on my website ellenonceagain.com. I’ve been afforded the opportunity to perform at various locations and events in the Dallas/DFW area, so please visit my website and join the mailing list and I’ll keep you updated.

Is there anyone in any creative field you think we should be keeping an eye out for?
Wow,  I feel like I should be asking you guys the same thing.  I’m coming from a music teacher background so I’m in the process of meeting performers and different types of artists in my area.  I look forward to many more collaborations and friendships being made in the near future.

Any parting thoughts you would like to share with the readers?
If you have a dream, Go For It.  This is where I am so I would like to encourage others as well.  Time waits for no one. Never look back on what you should have done in the past. Remember today will be yesterday and tomorrow will soon be today. So make the most out of each day.
